Literature Review

Art has been indispensable to the religious rites and social life for indigenous and tribal communities in India. Tribal people consider nature and environment as alive and conscious part of their social system, therefore their life and art is intertwined with their place. Their art has been referred to as folk, primitive or ‘fourth world’ art and collected by explorers and travellers for their curiosity value.
