Professional background
20+ years in communications and branding
Worked in the banking, IT, consumer products, business services, and non-profit sectors, at organisations ranging from Fortune 500s to startups. I designed and executed communication strategy for employee engagement, change management, crisis handling, and talent strategy for global audiences.
Partnering with leaders
Over time I focused increasingly on partnering with global executives to establish their presence, engage their teams across countries, and be an effective spokesperson of their organisation. As their communications partner I would tailor the content and delivery of their messaging so that it was authentic to their leadership style while also meeting the requirements of the organisation. These included mobilising teams into action, disseminating corporate strategy, handling crisis situations, delivering tough news, or fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion.
Moving to coaching
Communication connects people. To do my job well, I had to understand what inspires them. How can they embrace change better. How to help them engage with their work better. And so on.
And branding is about finding uniqueness, and expressing it appealingly.
I realised that what I love about my work is the connection with people, and helping express uniqueness. I took these learnings and pivoted into coaching. Now, I help clients in discovering purpose, making impact, and leading in their career through effective communication and personal branding.
